The Hathway Restaurant at the Priory Hotel Hereford offers fine dining in the elegant surroundings of a 17th century former rectory.

Our restaurant prides itself on using the finest and freshest ingredients for which Herefordshire is renowned. Open to residents and non-residents, the Hathway at The Priory offers a refined yet affordable dining experience, including our fabulous three-course Sunday lunch at just £15.95.

Serving breakfast, dinner and lunch including Sunday roast, the Hathway Restaurant offers a variety of delicious menus with wine to complement. Relax over a glass of our choice French and New World wines or take time over a pint of the fine Wye Valley beer or cider.

We cater for private functions for up to 80 guests or larger groups in an elegant marquee, with the terrace overlooking the lawn offering the perfect setting for alfresco dining. Our dedicated events team are first-class hosts for the many weddings and receptions, birthday parties, anniversaries, christenings and Christmas parties we stage at the Priory, where we can create a menu to suit your needs.

Our kitchen team, led by London-trained head chef Darren Phelps, create all dishes to order with nothing pre-made. Try our Hereford beef or ask for a dessert to be created for you: one of our specialities.

Whether you are looking for a light bite or a more hearty meal, our lunch menu will tempt you. Prices start from £4.50 for fresh homemade soup with freshly baked bread. Tempted by our Herefordshire fillet steak sandwich with homemade chips and salad at £6.50? Or you may fancy our popular trio of local sausages served on wholegrain mustard mash with a rich red onion gravy at £7.95. Our fresh pasta dishes and Priory club sandwiches are firm favourites.

Our dinner menu changes with the seasons. We offer a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian options. You can always enjoy freshly baked bread, homemade chutneys and sauces, Herefordshire steaks, organic salmon and local seasonal vegetables. Prices for our starters are from £4.50. Our main courses start from £10.50, now serving butternut squash and green bean curry with rice and fresh baked foaccia bread. Not forgetting our wide range of desserts from fresh fruit and cream meringue to baked chocolate cheesecake, all priced at £4.50, and of course the favourite cheese and biscuits at £5.95.
